Butterfly Metamorphosis and Spiritual Transformation
Metamorphosis is the biological process which creates the changes throughout the butterflies' life cycle.
Metamorphosis (in an insect or amphibian) is the biological process of transformation which creates dramatic change in the growth of its form in two or more distinct stages.
A Metamorphosis is also change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means. A metamorphosis can happen in our personal lives, and within society as a whole, when a powerful or meaningful set of change or growth occurs.
Transformation is a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance. Transformation is a metamorphosis during the life cycle of an animal. It is an alchemical process.
Perhaps it is the nature of change, that changes are a part of human and animal nature. It is the nature of things seen and unseen. human nature, and the nature of change.
Metaphysically speaking, the human (and animal!) soul is most likely experiencing a spiritual metamorphosis--or Transformation, at this time. There have been abrupt and profound changes occurring in this day and age; a spiritual evolution. All species on the planet, including the earth (gaia) itself, are changing and growing in meaningful ways and powerful ways. A Transformation is occurring.
Perhaps we are all going through a butterfly metamorphosis and spiritual transformation. It can even be likened to the Death And Resurrection Cycle. The butterfly must shed its cocoon, or old self, in order to emerge and become something new.
